Online Terms & Conditions

1. All prices are in Singapore dollars and are inclusive of GST.

2. Delivery is within Singapore.

3. Payment is via credit cards. (VISA / MASTERCARD)

4. For home delivery, all orders placed before 2pm will be delivered between 10-2pm and 2pm - 6pm, 3 business days later from Mondays to Saturdays

Orders placed after 2pm will be delivered between 10pm-2pm and 2pm - 6pm, 4 business days later, from Mondays to Saturdays There will be no delivery on Sundays and Public Holidays.

5. Delivery time blocks are between 10am to 6pm each day, from Mondays to Saturdays.

6. Collection at the stores is available after 2 pm from Mondays to Sunday, including public holidays. Customers will be indentified via their names and order IDs.

7. Orders can only be confirmed with full payment approved by the bank of the credit card, according to the actual value placed for the order.

8. Please provide all required details asked for in our order form, so as to avoid unnecessary delays.

9. Orders can be cancelled up to 48 hours before the designated delivery date.

 


  

The Coffee Bean Card Terms & Conditions

1. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Prepaid Card ("The Coffee Bean Card") is a prepaid card issued by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. ("CBTL") and managed by the technology of WorldCard (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. ("the Manager")

2. By using The Coffee Bean Card, a Cardholder shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions of The Coffee Bean Card. Applicants for The Coffee Bean Card are required to provide correct and true information in the application form.

3. The Coffee Bean Card will be issued on-site upon approval from the authorized employees of CBTL and payment of the designated value chosen by the relevant applicants. CBTL’s decision to reject any application shall be final. No objection or appeal shall be entertained.

4. Payment shall be in Singapore Dollar and value of each The Coffee Bean Card will be denominated in integral multiples of S$1.00.

5. No prepaid value will include goods and services tax or any other taxe/charge imposed from time to time by regulatory or governmental bodies.

6. Payment made for The Coffee Bean Card will be considered as a complete transaction and The Coffee Bean Cardholders are not entitled to demand or claim for refunds or reimbursement of whole or any part of the unutilized value of The Coffee Bean Card under whatever circumstances.

7. The Coffee Bean Card is not transferable and cannot be shared with other third party.

8. The Coffee Bean Card, with sufficient value, will be accepted at all the outlets of CBTL in Singapore (“CBTL’s Outlets”) and on websites hosted by CBTL and value of the products/services purchased by The Coffee Bean Cardholder will be deducted from the total value of The Coffee Bean Card once the order is accepted by CBTL. A Coffee Bean Cardholder is not entitled to change his/her order after the relevant transaction has been recorded.

9. Subject to the terms herein contained and the basis determined by CBTL, from time to time, Bean Points (“BEANS”) and/or discounts, benefits, entitlements, privileges, promotions (“Benefits”) may be awarded to the CBTL Member when the Card is presented at the time of purchasing products/services (“CBTL’s Products”) offered by the CBTL via cash or credit card at CBTL’s Outlets or via The Coffee Bean Card. The Cardholder is required to sign on the transaction slip (for earning or utilization of BEANS) for verification
purposes and:

9.1 The basis for the enjoyment of The Coffee Bean Card, BEANS and/or the Benefits shall be determined by the CBTL at its absolute discretion and may be changed from time to time without prior notice. The Coffee Bean Cardholders are not entitled to request CBTL or the Manager to disclose or explain the calculation methods or other matters relating to the BEANS and/or the Benefits for whatever purposes;

9.2 BEANS will not be awarded for taxes or any charges that are payable by CBTL to any regulatory or governmental bodies;

9.3 BEANS are not transferable, have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash;

9.4 Except The Coffee Bean Cardholder's right to redeem the Rewards as herein set out, The Coffee Bean Cardholders shall not have any other right or interest in the value of the BEANS available in their accounts and are not entitled to claim or take any action against CBTL or the Manager for payment of the BEANS' value in cash or in kind or any benefits, income or profits that may be gained by CBTL or the Manager from the management of such BEANS value, if any.

10. The Coffee Bean Card Member may check the balance of his/her The Coffee Bean Card value or BEANS online through the CBTL’s website or at the designated outlets/centers and:

10.1 Dollar value in the card will automatically expire after 1,200 days from the date of top-up;

10.2 BEANS will automatically expire on 31st March of the following year irrespective when the BEANS are awarded in the current year;

10.3 BEANS awarded manually will only be credited after the Manager has been informed of the relevant transaction;

10.4 CBTL and the Manager will not be liable if the BEANS cannot be recorded for whatever reasons (including but not limited to malfunction or interruption of the BEANS recording system, civil commotion, fire, or other force majeure events beyond the control of all parties concerned);

10.5 CBTL or the Manager shall have sole discretion to deduct, cancel or refuse/reject to award BEANS for any suspected transaction as it deems fit or BEANS that have been wrongfully recorded whenever it deems fit;

10.6 CBTL or the Manager shall not be liable for failure to add the BEANS into The Coffee Bean Cardholder’s account for whatever reasons; and

10.7 Any dispute on the BEANS balance shall be notified to CBTL or the Manager within 30 days from the date of the relevant transaction.

11. The Coffee Bean Card with sufficient BEANS may redeem such CBTL’s Products that may be determined by CBTL from time to time (“Rewards”) subject to the terms and conditions as may be amended or varied at CBTL’s sole discretion with or without notice, including but not limited to.

11.1 The procedures involved in redemption;

11.2 Restrict the quantity of a particular Reward that a Cardholder may exchange for BEANS;

11.3 Classify The Coffee Bean Cardholders into different categories;

11.4 Offer different Rewards and Benefits for different categories of The Coffee Bean Cardholders.

12. BEANS utilized for redemption of the Rewards will be deducted from The Coffee Bean Cardholder’s account. No BEANS will be accorded for any redemption transactions.

13. As CBTL may determine at the material time, redemption may be made via BEANS only or mixture of the BEANS and The Coffee Bean Card. For each redemption transaction (irrespective on the mode of redemption) perform at all the CBTL’s Outlets (not applicable for redemption via CBTL’s web-site):

13.1 Number of BEANS that will be deducted will begin with a minimum of 500 BEANS;

13.2 In excess thereof shall always be deducted at tranches of 50 BEANS, e.g. 550 BEANS, 600 BEANS and so forth.

14. If Rewards have been redeemed by using any BEANS that have been fraudulently or wrongfully earned, The Coffee Bean Cardholder shall be liable to refund to CBTL the value of the said BEANS or return the Rewards to CBTL or the Manager, as directed by CBTL. CBTL is entitled to refuse any request for redemption or recall any Rewards redeemed if CBTL reasonably suspects the BEANS used by The Coffee Bean Cardholder were fraudulently or wrongfully recorded.

15. Once CBTL accepts any redemption requests, it cannot be revoked, amended, cancelled, returned or exchanged for other items.

16. Unclaimed Rewards will be forfeited and the BEANS deducted for such redemption will not be reinstated.

17. CBTL or the Manager shall not be liable for any BEANS deducted in furtherance to redemption that may be made by persons other than The Coffee Bean Cardholder under whatever circumstances.

18. All Rewards are subject to availability and CBTL reserves its right to replace other Rewards of approximately the equivalent value without prior notice.

19. Each The Coffee Bean Cardholder is entitled to hold more than one (1) The Coffee Bean Card at the same time provided that:

19.1 The value available in each The Coffee Bean Card cannot be combined;

19.2 BEANS accumulated under each The Coffee Bean Card cannot be combined.

20. Value of The Coffee Bean Card and BEANS shall be automatically cancelled without further notice if:

20.1 The validity period of The Coffee Bean Card or the BEANS expire, as the case may be;

20.2 The Coffee Bean Card is terminated by CBTL, with or without assigning any reasons. No objection or appeal will be entertained and The Coffee Bean Cardholders do not have any further claims whatsoever in relation thereto;

20.3 Termination or cessation of The Coffee Bean Card Programme.

21. CBTL shall not be liable for any prepaid value deducted in furtherance to usage that may be made by persons other than The Coffee Bean Cardholder under whatever circumstances.

22.Lost/stolen The Coffee Bean Card will not be replaced. Balance of the value and/or BEANS available in that The Coffee Bean Card will not be replaced or reinstated in whatever manner.

23. All damaged The Coffee Bean Cards can be replaced, provided that The Coffee Bean Cardholder is able to provide such information required by CBTL at the material time and all damaged cards must be returned to CBTL before a replacement is given. Replacement is subject to payment of the prevailing replacement fees imposed, if any.

24. Personal database together with information of The Coffee Bean Card, BEANS and any redemption transaction undertaken by any CBTL Member (“the Database”)
will be jointly owned by CBTL and the Manager. The Coffee Bean Cardholder should hereby irrevocably and unconditionally agree that CBTL and its Manager or their respective holding companies, subsidiaries, associates or related corporations has the right to use, process, disclose, transfer or deal with the Database in whatever manner and for whatever purposes as CBTL or the Manager shall deem fit without further notice (either with or without third party) or for the purposes of disclosure under the law or any court order or other governmental or regulatory bodies.

25. The Coffee Bean Cardholder shall immediately notify CBTL in writing of any change of his/her Database whereupon CBTL shall take all practicable steps to update the Database within a reasonable time provided that CBTL shall not be liable for any loss or damage that may be suffered by The Coffee Bean Cardholder arising whether directly or indirectly from CBTL’s delay or failure in up-dating the Database for any reason whatsoever.

26. In no event shall CBTL and the Manager be liable to any Cardholder or any third party for any loss or injury or any special, direct, indirect, incidental, exemplary or consequential losses or damages whatsoever or howsoever caused under any cause of action arising directly or indirectly in connection with the Programme, usage of The Coffee Bean Card or becoming The Coffee Bean Cardholder.

27. CBTL has the right, at any time and at its sole discretion, with or without notice, to limit, add, amend or delete in whole or in part these T&C, rules, conditions, policies of the Programme, The Coffee Bean Card, Benefits, Redemption of the Rewards, BEANS awards even though such changes may affect the value of The Coffee Bean Card, BEANS or Benefits already accumulated or The Coffee Bean Cardholders’ rights and interests. The amendment and supplement T&C, rules, conditions and policies shall be binding on The Coffee Bean Cardholders as long as his/her The Coffee Bean Card is valid under these T&C.

28. If CBTL or the Manager is found liable by a court of a competent jurisdiction, the liabilities of CBTL and the Manager to The Coffee Bean Cardholder for any cause whatsoever and regardless of the form of action, to the extent permitted by law, shall be limited to restoring or according any value of The Coffee Bean Card which CBTL has wrongfully deducted, BEANS and/or Benefits that have been mistakenly omitted.

29. Any fee paid under these T&C is not refundable unless otherwise provided.

30. Any notice to be given to The Coffee Bean Cardholder shall be deemed to have been properly given if sent by prepaid post to the address recorded in the Database.

31. The Coffee Bean Cardholder shall indemnify and hold CBTL and the Manager harmless against any liability for loss, penalty, damage, costs and expenses (including but not limited to legal costs) which CBTL and/or the Manager may incur by reason of or arising directly or indirectly from any breach on the part of The Coffee Bean Cardholder in complying or observing these T&C or in otherwise using of The Coffee Bean Card or recovery of any outstanding amounts due from The Coffee Bean Cardholder.

32. CBTL and/or the Manager shall be entitled jointly or severally at the time without the consent of or notice to The Coffee Bean Cardholder to assign or transfer whole or part of its rights and obligations in relation to The Coffee Bean Card and/or the Programme to any other person.

33. Time shall be of the essence of these terms and conditions but no failure to exercise or delay in or partial exercising of any of CBTL’s or the Manager’s rights, power or remedies shall operate as waiver.

34. These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the law of Singapore and the parties should hereto agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

35. Any application is subject to fulfillment of any other condition set by CBTL. CBTL’s decision to reject any application shall be final. No objection or appeal shall be entertained.

36. No person other than CBTL or the Cardholders shall have any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of these T&C.
