FAQ

1. Can I place an international order through coffeebean.com.sg?

Currently, we cannot ship website orders outside Singapore but as soon as we're ready to roll-out this service to other regional locations, you'll be the first to know. If you are a foreigner looking to surprise your family, relatives, or friends in Singapore on their birthdays, or any other special occasion, then we Coffee Bean's quality cakes and merchandise are highly recommended to you.

2. What forms of payment does coffeebean.com.sg accept?

We accept Visa & MasterCard payment. All payment is in S$ dollars (inclusive of GST). Payment will include the price of cake/s and the delivery charge. (There will be no delivery charge at all for collection of cakes from an outlet.)

3. How can I place an order?

Orders for whole cakes can be made via our website, by a phone call on 6273 2221 or a visit to any of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf outlets. 

4. When can I collect my cake?

Orders placed before 2pm can be collected at your specified outlet 3 days later, excluding Sundays. Orders placed after 2pm can be collected at your specified outlet 4 days later, excluding Sundays. Collection on Monday is after 2pm while Collection on Tuesday - Sunday is after 12noon. We will contact you if we foresee any delays with your delivery.

5. Are there delivery charges for cakes?

A delivery charge of $20 is applicable for each delivery location. Complimentary delivery for purchases above $200.

6. Which outlets can I collect my cake from?

Collection can be made at selected stores only. Simply indicate which outlet you want to pick up your cake at the checkout page and we will send your cake there accordingly.

7. What form of identification do I need to present when collecting my cake?

We will require your Order ID, Name and contact number for easy reference during collection.

8. What if I forget my Order ID number?

Our staff will prompt you with some other questions related to your profile and/or order to verify your identify. If you are designating someone else to collect your cake, please ensure you inform this person of the Order ID number.

9. What happens if my cake isn't there when I show up?

Please speak to the Outlet Manager immediately and he/she will sort this out for you.

10. If I decide on home delivery, when will my order be delivered?

Orders placed before 2pm will be delivered between 10-2pm and 2pm - 6pm, 3 business days later, from Mondays to Saturdays. Orders placed after 2pm will be delivered between 10-2pm and 2pm - 6pm, 4 business days later, from Mondays to Saturdays. There will be no delivery on Sundays and Public Holidays. We will contact you if we foresee any delays with your delivery.

11. How is my order delivered?

Orders will be delivered by our transportation partner or registered mail for small non-bulky items. You will be prompted for your preferred choice if both delivery options are available for the item chosen.

12. Is there an expiry date for the dollar value and BEANS?

All BEANS earned in each calendar year, will expire 3 months after the calendar year ends i.e. 31st of March of the following year. Dollar value in the card will automatically expire after 1,200 days from the last transaction date.

13. What happens if I am not at home when the delivery is made?

Failed deliveries will be redirected to the nearest store or The Coffee Bean head office. You are advised to call on 6273 2221 to arrange for pick-up.

14. Will I still be charged in this scenario?

You will only be charged the $20.00 delivery charge for each attempt.

15. How can I check my order status?

You can check this online by logging into your account and entering your email address or username and password. Alternatively, you can call on (65) 6273 2221 to speak with our Customer Care Representative or email us at customercare@coffeebean.com.sg

16. How can I cancel my order?

Orders can be cancelled within 4 days before the delivery date. If you would like to cancel your order, please make a call on (65) 6273 2221 so that a Customer Care Representative can determine whether the order has been sent to the outlet or delivered. An order cannot be cancelled if the cake is on its way, or has already been delivered to you.

17. How can I return an online purchase?

Should you encounter any problem with your cake purchase, please send an e-mail to customercare@coffeebean.com.sg advising us of your problem

18. How can I specify different delivery addresses for different cakes?

If you want different cakes to be delivered to different addresses, you will need to checkout one cake at a time.

19. Shop Securely!

Please rest assured that we do not store your credit card information on our server. You will be entering your credit card information directly into the highly secured bank's site for approval. This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. We use a highly secure server so that all information submitted over is only given to us. Do note that because email is not encrypted, it is not a secure means of transmitting credit card numbers.

20. Your Privacy Online

The customer's contact information is also used to get in touch with the customer when necessary, and for purposes of updating him/her with what's new if he/she joins our mailing list. There is also the option for the customer to opt-out of this service in our newsletter section.

21. Our Loyalty Program

Every dollar you spent, you will earn 5 BEAN points. You may redeem BEAN points from minimum of 500 points. In excess thereof shall always at the tranches of 50 BEANS, e.g. 550 BEANS, 600 BEANS and so forth. Redemption of 500 BEANS is equivalent to a $5 deduction from total purchase value.

23. Why does the site look different on different web browsers?

Due to browser differences, we recommend using the most current version of Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox to experience the best of coffeebean.com.sg.

24. How do I provide feedback on the service I received at a Coffee Bean retail location?

Please send us your comments through customercare@coffeebean.com.sg and we will respond within 72 hours.
